About me
Hello! I'm Álvaro, a software engineer from Spain with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and continuous self-improvement. I love building tools to solve my everyday challenges—whether it's a small script or a full-scale web application.
I graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 2024 and have been working at Entrust as a software engineer since my final year of studies. Currently, I'm developing an internal-use chatbot, where I'm continuously applying and refining my skills in a collaborative environment with high-quality standards.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and taking walks with my dog. These moments help me unwind and stay focused to give my best throughout the day and keep on learning new things.

I built and maintained an internal chatbot that integrates multiple knowledge sources for information retrieval.
- Implemented UI features using HTMX and AlpineJS to enhance user experience.
- Contributed to refactoring the previous codebase, improving both performance and maintainability.
- Developed the application's logging system and integrated it with Splunk, creating dashboards for better visibility.
- Created monitoring alerts for various services using Datadog to ensure system availability.

I worked on my thesis as part of an R&D internship, focusing on confidential computing.
- Designed and developed a proof-of-concept SDK and API using C++ for cloud-based confidential computing.
- Integrated cryptographic operations into both the SDK and API using OpenSSL to ensure data security.
- Implemented a client attestation process.
- Managed the containerization and deployment of the application to the selected cloud infrastructure.
